SAVE OVER $400: The 75-inch model of Sony's X750H series is down to $898 at Amazon (and $899.99 at Best Buy) as of March 9 — a $31% price drop.
"Budget" to other TV brands isn't "budget" to Sony.
LG and Samsung both have multiple collections designed for affordability. The $400 to $700 price range is a sweet spot there, with 75-inch TVs going for as low as $799. Unless it's a good day, you won't catch Sony slipping with a 75-inch TV for anywhere near that price.
Today is that good day. Amazon and Best Buy have slashed Sony's 75-inch X750H Series down to $898 and $899.99, respectively. The original price is foggier, sitting somewhere between $1,099.99 and $1,299.99, depending on who you ask. Either way, $898 matches the lowest price ever seen on this TV, which was last seen around Black Friday.
The X750H is armed with the same processor as its pricier siblings, the X800H and X900H. Not all content is compatible with 4K (including stuff on most streaming services). But the 4K X-Reality PRO database uses an algorithm designed to cut noise and sharpen detail — bumping everything to as close to 4K as possible.
Sony's proprietary Triluminous display is here, too, using the juice from the 4K Processor X1 to reproduce far more colors than a conventional television. Colors are then tweaked to be saturated but still natural and precise, providing a realistic portrayal that'll change the way you watch your stuff. Local dimming and peak HDR brightness aren't its bright spots, but the above-average contrast ensures that your deep blacks and light colors won't get lost.
A Bass Reflex speaker puts you in the moment with profound low-end sound, boosting the experience particularly with movies, sports, and music. The box enclosing the speaker creates on-point sound reproduction that's punchy, not messy.
