Beating Horizon and Days Gone.
Samurai adventure Ghost of Tsushima has become Sony's fastest-selling original IP this console generation.
More than 2.4m copies of the game have been sold over its first three days worldwide, PlayStation announced via Twitter.
Sony said the game was now "PlayStation 4's fastest selling first-party original IP debut", which is a bit of a mouthful. In essence, it means Tsushima sold more at launch than other new PlayStation properties such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and Dreams.
That claim won't cover established PlayStation franchises such as The Last of Us, God of War, Uncharted or Knack.
Ghost of Tsushima is now PS4's fastest selling first-party original IP debut with more than 2.4 million units sold through globally in its first 3 days of sales.
Congratulations @SuckerPunchProd, and thank you to fans around the world for taking part in Jin's journey. pic.twitter.com/6aE4U7YZJH

In contrast, The Last of Us Part 2 sold 4m copies over its opening three days - enough to make it the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive ever and 2020's fastest-selling console game launch to date.
